Dr. Ravi Kumar
Ravi Kumar teaches Sociology at South Asian University, New Delhi. He has been Chairperson of Department of Sociology and Associate Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences at South Asian University. Prior to joining South Asian University, he has been a faculty at Jamia Millia Islamia and Council for Social Development, New Delhi. He has been visiting faculty at Anglia Ruskin University, UK and National Institute of Design, India. His areas of specialisation include politics of knowledge production, social movements, social theory in general and Marxism in particular, political economy of identity formation and South Asian studies. His works include [co-authored, 2019] Against The Nation: Thinking Like South Asian; [co-edited, 2018] Sociology and Social Anthropology in South Asia: Histories and Practices, [co-edited, 2016]; [edited, 2018] Left Politics in South Asia: Reframing the Agenda; [edited, 2016] Contemporary Readings in Marxism: A Critical Introduction; [edited, 2015] Neoliberalism, Critical Pedagogy and Education; [co-edited, 2014] Social Movements: Transformative Shifts and Turning Points; [edited, 2012] Education and the Reproduction of Capital: Neoliberal Knowledge and Counterstrategies. He is Associate Editor of Society and Culture in South Asia (Sage). He co-edits book series titled Social Movements, Dissent and Transformative Action (Routledge: Delhi) and Conversations on/for South Asia (Aakar Books: Delhi).
Dr. Geeta Kochhar

Dr. Geeta Kochhar is Assistant Professor at the Centre for Chinese and South East Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. She received her Doctorate from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. She was awarded Asia Fellowship for research at CASS, China; and Government of India MHRD “India-China Bilateral Cultural Exchange Scholarship” for advance studies in China. She was a Visiting Professor in FDDI, Fudan University, China; Visiting Professor, Institute of Indian and Southwest Asian Studies, Vietnam; Visiting Professor, University of São Paulo, Brazil; and Visiting Professor, Indian Institute of Management Shillong, India. She has edited Modern China: Society, Culture, and Literature (2019); China’s Foreign Policy and Security Dimensions (2018); co-edited Unique Asian Triangle: India, China, Nepal (2016); India–China–Nepal: Decoding Trilateralism (2016); and Nepal’s Foreign Policy and Her Neighbours (2016). She has also co-authored 1000 Powerful Chinese Lexicon: Chinese, English, Hindi (2017).
